Saving Money & Accessing Resources:

Cooking in a Commissary Kitchen Workshop

Join Micro Mercantes, the Food Innovation Center and our rotating roster of experienced chefs as we learn about how to cook in a commissary (shared) kitchen. We go over safety, food handling, using and cleaning commercial equipment and tips on how to work with others in the kitchen. Its also a great place to meet and share experiences with other food entrepreneurs in the Portland Metro area. 

This is mandatory for everyone applying to be a Micro Mercantes kitchen member and open and optional for the public. Feel free to send your employees as well. The class is held in the Micro Mercantes kitchen at 7238 SE Foster Road from 6-8:30pm. Light snacks will be provided. There is no need to bring anything.

Unete a Micro Mercantes, Centro de Innovación de Alimentos con una lista de rotación de los cocineros más experimentados, a medida que aprenderás a cocinar en una cocina commercial (compartida). Hablaremos de la seguridad y manipulación de alimentos, el uso y limpieza de los artefactos comerciales, y le daremos consejos sobre cómo trabajar con otros en la cocina. Este es gran lugar para conocer y compartir experiencias con otros empresarios de alimentos del área de Portland. 

Este paso es obligatorio para todos los candidatos en convertirse en miembros de la cocina de Micro Mercantes, y estará opcionalmente abierta al público. No dude en mandar a sus empleados también. Las clases son en la cocina de Micro Mercantes localizada al 7238 SE Foster Road de 6:00-8:30pm. Tendremos aperitivos.  No hay necesidad de traer algo.
